WSJ article on Shangri-la banning shark fin
A great decision by the Shangri-la hotel group to ban shark fin soup and one that I hope other hotels will follow as well as other companies involved in the shipment of shark fin.

This is not the end of the fight, but yet one more step in the right direction to end this trade in an endangered species. Sharks are a fundamental element in our ecosystem and with the numbers at such a reduced number action by any and all companies that aspire to be enviroementally responsible or sustainable must be acted upon.
Time for the people and companies of Hong Kong to stand up and be counted.
Here's to the Gremlin.
Here's to the Gremlin. The naughty one. The reject. The one who is so different, the mutt. While some see him has the ugly one, we see the most wonderful dog in the world. From the frst day to his last, proof that a second chance is the most wonderful thing in the world.
Here's to the Gremlin. For every rescue, www.woofguide.org

Those dastardly french pugs!
... After Englands beating in the rugby it would seem those dastardly frenchies are up to it again! But as they are pugs, all is forgiven...
Hong Kong Originals - GiGi Leung
She is a super-star in Hong Kong and very kindly gave us time in her hetic schedule to shoot with Saf and the animals in photos team! Many thanks GiGi.
Daddy, don't do this!!?
Sorry Padstow but sometimes you just got to take one for the team...!
A story from the NZ earthquake.
The story begins with the rescuers finding this poor little guy they named Ralphie. Someone had already taken him under their wing but they weren't equipped to adopt.
Ralphie, scared and starved, joined his rescuers.. I wouldn't think anything could live through this.... but we were wrong.
Ralphie, scared and starved, joined his rescuers.. I wouldn't think anything could live through this.... but we were wrong. This little lady also survived that wreckage.
Here she is just placed in the car - scared, but safe.
and then..they are no longer alone!
Instant friends, they comforted each other while in the car.
Oh boy, a new traveler to add to the mix... (Note: the cat coming over the seat needing shelter...)
Add two more beagles found after that... the more, the merrier!
Now just how is this going to work? (and remember they are all strange to one another ) It's going to work just fine, thank you very much!
How much is that doggie in the window?
